Are you interested in your
child learning Spanish?
Please join us for a Spanish Immersion Program informational meeting on Thursday, March 6th, 2014 from 6:00-7:00PM at the
J. Eggers Instructional Support Center, 4810 Magnolia Cove, Kingwood.
The Spanish Immersion Program (SIP) teaches Spanish through the content area classes (Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies)
beginning in grade 1. Current kindergarten students may apply for the program beginning Friday, March 7th, 2013.
Applications are due on Friday, March 28th, 2014 by 3:30PM and
must be turned in to designated zoned campus, BBE or PFE.
Recently, in Art Class, our awesome art students worked on artwork related to Western themes for the Humble ISD Rodeo Art Contest. All of our students worked very hard and did a fabulous job representing the themes in their own unique ways.

All of the above students received blue and red award winning ribbons, 4 of our artists received Finalist ribbons and one of our students won the Gold Medal Award!!

Congratulations to Michael Norwood on winning the Gold Medal Award at this year’s Rodeo Art Contest!!!
Michael’s artwork received the Gold Medal Award and was taken to the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Art Show to hang on display in the Hayloft Gallery at the Reliant Center in Houston during the Houston Livestock and Rodeo. On March 8th, Michael and the other winning art students from other participating Houston area school districts will be honored during an award ceremony at the Reliant Center.

1st Grade SPICE Testing
Special People In a Creative Environment (SPICE) is a program designed to meet the needs of our creative students. Should you wish to nominate your 1st grade student for SPICE, please do so by February 20, 2014. SPICE testing begins on March 3, 2014. Notification of placement will occur April 28-30, 2014. Spring G/T Testing
Students that are in 2nd-12th grade are eligible to test for the Gifted/Talented program this spring. All testing takes place on our campus. Parents or teachers can nominate students for testing. Deadline for nominations is January 31, 2014. If you would like to nominate your child, please request information from Dawnielle Shrader at email@example.com
or by phone 281-641-2167. Notification of placement occurs in May.
